Emily Dickinson, who is now considered to be an excellent American poet person, was not a well known writer during her existence in the mid-19th century. Though she was recognized on her behalf work, many people thought this to be " eccentricвЂќ and unconventional. Her poems were " usually altered significantlyвЂќ to fit the traditional rules of this particular time. She wrote " practically 2, 000 poems during her term, вЂќ almost all of which were discovered after her death (Bloom). Her poetry " Because death would not stop personally, вЂќ and " We heard a fly buzzвЂќ both have a reoccurring theme of death. Despite the fact that both poetry share a similar theme, the poetic products used plus the overall tone of each poem are what sets them apart from one another.
" Because loss of life would not end for meвЂќ is a alternatively interesting composition. It tells the story of somebody riding towards the end with their life in a carriage with no one " but [Death] and Growing old (lines 3-4). вЂќ When riding in this kind of carriage, this person looks back on their your life and encounters; recognizing that although this individual has were living a fulfilling your life, he is certainly not headed towards the end, nevertheless the beginning of " eternity. вЂќ The entire mood of the poem can be described as positive one particular. Death is usually accepted plus the journey towards it was a peaceful one that " knew no haste (line 5). вЂќ
The poem " We heard a fly buzzвЂќ is a bit distinct. This composition captures the " previous thoughts and sensationsвЂќ of someone on their deathbed (Aull). Not what this person can think about prior to succumbing to death was your gross and " mundaneвЂќ creature, the fly. " With this kind of uncertain stumbling Buzz/Between the light and me/ and then the Windows failed/ and then I actually couldn't find (lines 13-16)вЂќ This last stanza just about sums in the main thought of the poem. The idea of eternity is not really a factor here. Death is going to come, and once it does option end. The one thing standing among this person and " the lightвЂќ is actually a fly, a fly that may be buzzing about...
